This realisation was a game—changer…

After experiencing burnout and totally losing myself, I realised that if one day I’m lucky enough to be a mum, I’d want to be a mum like this👆🏼

Now younger me wanted to raise my children to see how strong my work ethic is.

Until I noticed…

This was because my self—worth and value were wrapped up in how much I worked, how busy and productive I was.

I thought my work ethic made me loveable, valuable, worthy, ‘good enough’.

And then I realised I don’t want:

👉🏼 my children to see burnout as a badge of honour; to see busy—ness as a status symbol, to think hustling at the expense of your health and happiness is “success”.

👉🏼 to raise my children thinking their worth and value is attached to how much they work… I want them to know their magic is in their being.

👉🏼 them to see me as always being stressed and overwhelmed.

👉🏼 them to remember me as someone who just worked all the time, wasn’t present, was always too busy to be playing… or if I was playing, not actually be in the moment and instead, be distracted thinking about the work I need to do.

And so although I love my work, I deeply care about my mission and the impact I’m here to create…

I also deeply care about being the mum who builds forts in the garden, the mum who plays in the paddling pool, the mum who adventures in the the woods with them, my hubby and Lola.

This has meant committing to a journey of redefining success, falling in love with myself, unlearning the beliefs and conditioning that’s not aligned with who I really am or the life I truly desire…

So I can build a business that creates both impact AND freedom… where I get to transform lives doing what I love, while being a present woman, mum and wife.

I want to be an example of a woman who’s coming home to her most expressed, authentic, aligned, alive self and is committed to creating a life rich in pleasure, purpose and play.

This is the kind of role model I desire to be.

✨ What part of me is this getting to strengthen? Eg my resilience, courage, patience, self—compassion, self—trust, self—acceptance, determination?

✨ What lesson am I learning here, what wisdom am I gaining that’ll help me on my journey?

Who we’re being when we can’t see the results we’re desiring determines our future results…

When you approach challenges from this angle, you be the type of person who keeps going, who sees the magic, the opportunities in each experience and can build their character to trust they can handle and overcome any future challenges…

And this is where magic happens 🪄✨

I thought this is what I should be wanting to create…

I quickly realised as more people were reaching out to work together that this wasn’t feeling good to me and I wasn’t excited thinking about the direction ahead.

I was still recovering from burnout at the time while also going to hospital for tests because of a health scare…

I thought this wasn’t feeling aligned to me as I didn’t have the current capacity for it, but that I’d be excited about it again once I’d recovered.

But actually, it was the complete opposite.

Burnout was the catalyst to coming home to what really mattered to me, to realising how life FEELs is more important than how it looks, to define MY version of success…

not what I saw others pursuing, not what the people I’d invested in were wanting.

Don’t let society or social media decide the life and business you create — your dreams and desires have been planted in your heart for a reason.

It doesn’t matter if others think you’re playing small, if others aren’t impressed with what you’re pursuing or if they think you’re crazy — what matters is that you’re creating the life and business you truly desire… because that’s where the richness you want really lives.
